Let's Play!

I was thinking the other day that someone could have a quilt top..........in no time flat!
IF you have the Primitive Youngins Book you qualify to play!  (Of course, if you don't, you can get it from my website asap!)  Now, a lot of us are gramma's.............and if we all got together..............we could each make a block, donate it, and someone could have a quilt!
So...........let's see how many of you have the book first..........then see how many of you want to play!  And, let me know which of the quilt's you'd like to make a block of..........so someone could have the tope all done?

I would love to play! I have the book and love all the designs. Let's Play Jacks, or Gramma's Hugs 'n Kisses could be good because everybody could sign their name, and where they are from,in a corner. But I'll play along with whatever quilt is decided.

I have the book also. I have only done the Primitive Youngins' (Raggedy Boy and Girl) quilt, I can't remember the name - I am so sorry. My mind does not work well during day light hours :) I'm in!

Hi Everyone, I have extended this invitation to my entire email list and have given them until next Friday, January 29th to say if they want to play too! I love Sue-Anne's idea of everyone signing their names to the block you make and she has suggested two of the quilts. Please give me your ideas of which one you want to do and I'll draw from the names given to me. I will be back in touch by next Saturday and we'll get started.

PS lol - Quilt Hollow - yes you can watch! And, Mr. Hootie left a week ago, I think he's still searching for a bride! He'll be back.

Yesterday was the deadline to sign up to play with us.

I've tallied all the votes as to which quilt block we'll be making and the winner is......"LET'S PLAY JACKS"

The quilt is only 9 blocks and if ALL participants send in their blocks we could have more than one winner or a larger quilt. I'll let you decide on that when I get all the blocks back and have a final count.

All directions are in the Primitive Youngins book, which starts on page 7 (Let's all use the actual quilt as our guide instead of the darker colorway on page 8)

The deadline for returning the blocks will be February 28th. I will draw a winner from the blocks that are returned on time.

If you have any questions at all, please post it HERE on the blog (Let's Play!) as others might be having the same question.

Let the fun begin!

I've already heard some blocks are made! Can't wait to see them. Before you return the blocks to me, please make sure you sign them.
I think your name, city and state would be nice. Thanks!

Where would you like us to sign them or does it matter? Should we all use the same color pen? If so, which color? Are these too many questions? :O)

Lorraine
PS. My block is made!

Hello...Lorraine has asked where to sign the blocks so thought I would answer so everyone could see.
Please sign them on the front somewhere in the light section. It really doesn't matter which one.
Perhaps we should all use black for the signature, but if you've already signed it in another color, I promise not to say a word!!!!!! lol - no, it's not to many questions. Yeah, can't wait to see everyone's block. This month is going so fast, I can't believe it. I'd better get with the program so mine is finished on time......Yikes!

Hi Lynda
I posted my blocks off this morning so hopefully you will receive them in about one week's time. Looking forward to seeing all the blocks and the finished top.

Hi Everyone,
Just a gentle reminder that this is the last week for the "block" for Let's Play Jacks. Deadline is February 28th. They started to arrive last week and OH MY - someone is going to have a fun quilt top. I love that they are signed and will be such a fun reminder to whomever wins! Good luck everyone!
